Escape Motions: Rebelle 4 – Rebelle 2021 Artwork Contest  
Having worked as an artist since graduating from the Philadelphia College of Art (now called University of the Arts), way back in 1982, I have always used traditional methods of painting and drawing, including graphite, pastel, inks and watercolor paint. Recently, I was thrilled to discover an award-winning traditional media painting software called Rebelle 4. It has changed my life and how I now create artwork.

It has opened up new avenues of how I think about art creation and expanded my palette to beyond what had been traditionally off limits to me, due to work space restrictions, traditional art supply costs, etc…

In April 2021, artists from around the world were invited to submit their Rebelle artwork for a contest. I am honored to say that out of 413 entries, I received an honorable mention in the Figurative Composition Category for “Peeking In”, an illustration created exclusively in Rebelle 4 for my Picture Book “The Mysterious Monster March”, coming soon.
